AIA Cargo has appointed Colin McInnes as its new vice president cargo UK, underscoring the company’s expansion ambitions in the country. McInnes brings extensive industry experience from his previous role as head of sales and account management for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at CHAMP Cargosystems. He also boasts an 18-year tenure with Swiss WorldCargo, where he served in various capacities, including regional manager for the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics, and led global key account management from the airline’s Zurich headquarters.
In his new role, McInnes aims to “establish and maintain strong relationships with airlines, freight forwarders, and logistics providers, fostering collaboration and driving mutual growth.” He intends to work closely with industry partners to identify and capitalize on joint business opportunities, develop innovative solutions and services, and enhance the overall customer experience.
AIA Chief Executive Mark Andrew expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment, stating, “Colin was the standout candidate during our extensive search to fill this vacancy and I am looking forward to working with Colin.
