Accelya Partners with Azerbaijan Airlines to Enhance Revenue Control
Accelya has announced a new agreement with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) to strengthen financial control across both passenger and cargo operations.
The partnership will see the implementation of Passenger Revenue Accounting, Cargo Revenue Accounting, Sales Audit and Payment Reconciliation, forming a unified framework to improve visibility, governance and financial performance.
Strengthening Financial Oversight in a Complex Environment
The move builds on AZAL’s recent adoption of Accelya’s FLX Select platform to support NDC and retail modernisation, marking a further step in the airline’s broader digital transformation strategy.
As airline commercial environments become more complex, with revenue flowing through multiple channels, maintaining financial control and preventing margin leakage has become increasingly challenging.
By adopting Accelya’s solutions, Azerbaijan Airlines aims to improve oversight across its revenue lifecycle, accelerate discrepancy detection and ensure stronger financial discipline at scale.
Unified Framework for Revenue Integrity
The agreement integrates key financial processes into a single control environment, enabling:
-
Earlier identification and resolution of discrepancies
-
Improved audit compliance
-
Enhanced reporting and data visibility
-
Greater executive oversight
This unified approach allows the airline to convert large volumes of settlement data into actionable insights, supporting more informed decision-making across both passenger and cargo businesses.
Supporting Scalable Growth
Zaur Dibirov, Chief of Finance at Azerbaijan Airlines, said strengthening revenue integrity and financial governance is a key priority as the airline continues to modernise its operations.
He noted that the partnership with Accelya will enhance visibility across sales, settlement and reconciliation processes, supporting scalable growth while maintaining strong financial discipline.
Andrew Wilcock, Chief Commercial Officer at Accelya, added that as airline retailing becomes more dynamic, robust financial control is essential to ensure that commercial growth is matched by accurate revenue management and governance.
Aligning Commercial and Financial Transformation
Together with the FLX Select platform, the expanded agreement reflects Azerbaijan Airlines’ structured approach to modernising both its commercial capabilities and financial foundations.
The partnership positions the airline to better manage complexity, protect margins and support long-term operational resilience in an evolving aviation market.
