TAP Air Cargo has taken another step forward in modernising freight transport by launching a new premium cargo tracking add-on.
With TAP Secure Track, customers can track their shipments in real time and keep a detailed record of all events throughout the journey, ensuring greater control and security.
TAP Secure Track uses GPS technology and advanced IoT (Internet of Things) sensors that continuously monitor the location, temperature, light exposure and physical impacts of the cargo.
The data is transmitted throughout the entire journey, offering shippers a detailed and permanent view of the transport conditions at each stage.
Customers can set up email notifications, which are sent whenever the sensors detect a change in a predefined limit (temperature, location, impact/shock force, or package opening/light detection).
TAP Secure Track works with single-use devices. The sensors, each with a unique identifier, are sent to the customer to be placed inside the cargo, allowing them to track the entire journey of a package.
Logistics professionals can now track each shipment at any time, reducing costs associated with location failures, cold chain losses, or security incidents.
This new service was developed primarily for sectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, electronics, high-value goods and temperature-sensitive products, where compliance with strict standards and protection of goods are decisive factors.
