DHL Supply Chain has officially opened its newest logistics centre in Halle (Saale), marking the company’s third site in the area and further strengthening its strategic presence within the region. Fully operational and integrated into the wider DHL Leipzig-Halle Campus, the facility is already supporting its first customers.
The modern logistics hub offers 34,000 square meters of warehouse space, providing capacity for up to 55,000 pallet locations. Designed to meet the evolving needs of customers across multiple industries—including the technology sector—the site features three operational halls of 10,500 square meters each, equipped with 27 loading docks.
Built to DGNB Gold sustainability standards, the facility incorporates photovoltaic systems and energy-efficient LED lighting, supporting DHL’s commitment to delivering emission-reduced logistics solutions across its network.
The site currently employs more than 450 logistics professionals, with plans to create an additional 100 jobs once the forthcoming extension building becomes fully operational.
