Cathay Pacific has named Anand Yedery as its new head of cargo operations for Europe, bringing more than 20 years of experience with the airline across both passenger and freight divisions.
Born and educated in Mumbai, Yedery began his career with Cathay in 2004 in customer services at Mumbai International Airport before moving into the commercial team three years later, where he led passenger sales for southern India from Chennai.
He later headed passenger sales for western India and transitioned to the cargo business in 2014, taking on the role of Regional Cargo Manager for South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Based in Mumbai, he has most recently overseen passenger sales, marketing and lifestyle activities across the same region since 2018.
Yedery said: “Cargo is a vital part of Cathay’s global offering, and Europe is one of our most important cargo markets.
“I’m honoured to take on this role and to lead our cargo operations across Europe at such a pivotal time for the industry.”
Cathay said Yedery’s broad regional experience and background in both operational and commercial roles would support its efforts to strengthen partnerships and grow its cargo presence across the European market.
