LATAM Group launches new cargo route from Bogotá

LATAM Group, through its cargo affiliates, is reinforcing its commitment to South America’s floriculture industry by expanding its connectivity to one of the main flower export destinations in the United States: Los Angeles (LAX).

Starting in July, the group will operate up to five weekly cargo frequencies to Los Angeles, United States, representing a 66% increase in its current cargo capacity on this route.

This growth includes the increase from three to four weekly cargo flights between Quito and Los Angeles beginning July 1, along with the addition of a new cargo route from Bogotá, with a weekly frequency starting July 13, significantly strengthening the air export of flowers from both countries to this U.S. city.

With this expansion, flower growers in Colombia and Ecuador will have more options to connect their products with the U.S. West Coast market, one of the top destinations for South American flowers.

Santiago Alvarez, chief commercial officer of LATAM Cargo Group said: “This expansion of our cargo network reflects LATAM group’s long-term commitment to the floriculture sector in Colombia and Ecuador.

“We are proud to support our cargo customers with flexible solutions tailored to their needs. Strengthening this key route adds over 100 tons of additional cargo capacity to the U.S. West Coast and reaffirms LATAM’s commitment to the region”.
