BBN Airlines Indonesia, a subsidiary of the global aviation services leader Avia Solutions Group, has successfully obtained the internationally recognised IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification. This significant milestone underscores the airline’s steadfast commitment to upholding the highest safety, operational, and compliance standards in the global aviation industry.
The IOSA certification is the benchmark for global airline safety, governed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). To achieve this certification, BBN Airlines Indonesia underwent a rigorous and comprehensive audit conducted by independent IATA-accredited experts. The evaluation covered all critical areas of airline operations, including flight operations, aircraft maintenance, crew training, safety and security management systems, and organizational control structures. The audit was successfully completed in April 2025.
“This is a proud moment for BBN Airlines Indonesia,” said Martynas Grigas, Chairman of BBN Airlines Indonesia. “The IOSA certification is more than a regulatory achievement—it is a testament to the safety-first culture we’ve embedded throughout the organization. This recognition not only validates the strength of our operational systems but also builds confidence among our partners and clients, especially as we continue to grow our ACMI service offerings across international markets.”
BBN Airlines Indonesia operates under the ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) model, providing flexible and efficient capacity solutions to airlines looking to scale operations without long-term investment in fleet expansion. The airline supports a growing number of operators throughout the Asia-Pacific region, tailoring services to meet the evolving demands of the market.
According to Ugne Maciejauskaite, Aviation Safety Manager at Avia Solutions Group, the certification was achieved in record time—the fastest in Indonesia’s aviation history. “This accomplishment reflects the operational excellence and readiness of BBN Airlines Indonesia. Our group, which spans six continents and brings decades of experience in aviation services, worked closely with BBN throughout the certification process. Asia-Pacific remains a strategic priority for Avia Solutions Group, and such milestones are crucial as we expand our footprint in the region.”
The IOSA certification not only enhances BBN Airlines Indonesia’s reputation and operational credibility but also unlocks new growth opportunities. It positions the airline to establish new partnerships with safety-focused clients and enter additional markets that require stringent compliance with international aviation standards.
Looking ahead, BBN Airlines Indonesia plans to leverage this certification as a foundation for its 2025 growth strategy, which includes expanding its ACMI services, forming new operator partnerships, and strengthening its presence both within Indonesia and across broader international markets.
This achievement reflects the airline’s long-term vision of becoming a premier ACMI partner in Asia and reinforces its unwavering focus on delivering safe, scalable, and reliable aviation solutions.
