SmartKargo has announced the renewal of its long-standing strategic partnership with mas, extending the airline’s use of its cloud-native cargo management platform as part of a continued push toward digital innovation and operational excellence.
The renewed agreement will see mas further leverage SmartKargo’s technology to enhance its cargo operations through multi-channel booking and distribution, real-time shipment visibility, and more streamlined workflows. The platform’s scalable cloud infrastructure is also expected to support the airline’s future growth and evolving operational demands.
Javier Cano, AVP Account & Business Development at SmartKargo, said the extension highlights the strength of the collaboration and a shared commitment to modernising air cargo operations. He noted that SmartKargo remains focused on helping mas build a more connected and efficient cargo ecosystem through advanced digital solutions.
Victor Flores, Director of Digital Transformation & ICT at mas, emphasised the importance of technology in the airline’s growth strategy. He said that since adopting the SmartKargo platform in 2018, mas has significantly enhanced its core cargo processes, improved operational visibility, and strengthened its ability to respond to changing market demands. Renewing the partnership, he added, reinforces confidence in SmartKargo’s capabilities and aligns with the airline’s goal of delivering more efficient and customer-focused cargo services.
Robert Van de Weg, CEO of mas, added that the partnership has played a key role in the airline’s digital transformation journey and ongoing cargo expansion. He highlighted the importance of having a scalable and innovative technology platform as mas continues to grow its global footprint, stating that the renewed agreement reflects a shared vision of building a more efficient and customer-centric cargo network.
As the air cargo sector continues to evolve, the extended partnership positions both companies to drive further innovation, enhance service delivery, and improve operational performance across international markets.
