LATAM Cargo Surpasses 300 Tonnes of Aid to Venezuela via Solidarity Plane

In light of the severity of the emergency in Venezuela, the solidarity of the Americas mobilised on a continental scale.

Organisations and allies from the United States, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Panama unified their capabilities, responding with maximum speed during the first few days to channel essential assistance to the areas most affected by the earthquake.

Faced with this scenario, during the first week of operation, LATAM Cargo is executing an intensive schedule that includes six freighter flights and four operations in passenger aircraft cargo holds.

This joint effort allows the transport of more than 300 tons of essential supplies (equivalent to transporting 52,000 water bottles) through a coordinated race against time.

The success of this aid network lies in the strength of the broader ecosystem.

Organisations such as GEM, TAAP, Fundana, UNHCR, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Cámara de Comercio Venezolana Ecuatoriana and Peru Pendiente, among others, placed their trust in the Solidarity Plane Programme to move the donations, while more than four logistics operators, including KOPE and Kuehne+Nagel, supported customs clearance.

The aid includes critical medical supplies, power generators and field hospital modules. These essential items are already in Venezuelan territory and are available to the organisations responsible for delivering direct support to the affected areas.

Andrés Bianchi, CEO of LATAM Cargo, said: “We are deeply proud to support Venezuela.

“Our team showed remarkable commitment, working hand in hand with the broader ecosystem against the clock. That commitment reflects the human purpose behind our work.”
