WestJet Cargo Partners with TCE to Enhance Operational Efficiency and Customs Compliance

WestJet Cargo has announced a strategic partnership with ECS Group’s TCE (Total Cargo Expertise) solution to improve its operational efficiency and ensure customs compliance. TCE will handle key aspects of WestJet Cargo’s customs management, including planning, day-to-day operations, documentation, and regulatory adherence, with a focus on minimizing delays and errors.

By leveraging TCE’s advanced automation tools, WestJet Cargo aims to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve data accuracy. TCE will manage data corrections, liaise with customs authorities, and handle cargo holds at entry ports to reduce potential disruptions in the supply chain. A dedicated 24/7 customs reporting team from TCE will support WestJet Cargo, bringing specialized expertise in compliance and regulatory management.

Kirsten de Bruijn, WestJet Cargo’s executive vice president, highlighted that TCE’s experience in customs management will optimize their processes, allowing WestJet Cargo to concentrate on providing high-quality air cargo services. TCE’s managing director, Sarah Scheibe, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, viewing it as a chance for TCE to broaden its expertise in customs reporting and help WestJet Cargo enhance its operational and compliance capabilities.
