Turkish Cargo has integrated its flight reservation system with CargoWise, enabling freight forwarders and shippers using the platform to book cargo space seamlessly.

The airline announced the addition of a “direct data connection” to the WiseTech-owned cargo management system, providing users with real-time rates, capacity availability, and electronic booking options.

“The e-reservation integration between CargoWise and Turkish Cargo’s management system, COMIS, ensures instant access to air cargo rates, flight availability, and booking confirmations,” the airline explained. “This allows shippers to select flights and make reservations with Turkish Cargo directly through the CargoWise platform.”

The API connection is designed to eliminate errors from manual data entry and enhance transparency throughout the booking process. Additionally, it enables real-time communication with Turkish Cargo within CargoWise, including the ability to modify bookings until the Master Air Waybill is finalized.

Selçuk Gençaslan, senior vice president of cargo marketing at Turkish Airlines, stated: “Our extensive flight network and high capacity enable us to be globally accessible while offering cost-effective, innovative solutions. By quickly adapting to industry dynamics, we are committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers, and this collaboration with CargoWise is a key step toward that goal.”

Jorre Cobelens, vice president of logistics data and connectivity at WiseTech Global, added: “By connecting directly with Turkish Cargo, we empower our CargoWise users to efficiently manage thousands of unique shipments on the world’s largest air cargo network within CargoWise itself. This enhances industry productivity, minimizes data entry duplication, reduces human error, and streamlines communication.”

This collaboration is part of Turkish Cargo’s broader digital strategy, which also includes offering its capacity through platforms like WebCargo and cargo.one.
