Thai cargo carrier K-Mile Air has launched a new freight route linking northern Thailand with the United Arab Emirates, expanding its operations between Asia and the Middle East.

The airline, which is based at Suvarnabhumi Airport, said the new service connects Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai with Abu Dhabi.

K-Mile confirmed the inaugural flight on the route took place on 5 March using one of its Boeing 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) aircraft.

The first service, flight 8K252, marked what the airline described as a significant step in strengthening logistics links between Thailand and the Gulf region.

In a statement, K-Mile said the new operations reinforced its commitment to improving trade and cargo connectivity between Asia and the Middle East.

The airline added that the direct cargo services from northern Thailand to Abu Dhabi would create new opportunities for logistics providers and regional exporters while improving supply chain efficiency across international markets.

K-Mile operates scheduled and charter freight services across South East Asia and other regional destinations, with a focus on express cargo, courier and postal shipments.

According to aviation data provider Planespotters, the airline currently operates a fleet of four converted Boeing 737-400 Converted Freighter aircraft and two Boeing 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighter jets.
