ST Engineering has completed and delivered another Airbus A320 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion to United Arab Emirates-based cargo airline Fly Vaayu.

The aircraft, registered as A6-MVA (MSN 2164), was converted at ST Engineering’s Guangzhou facility and joins Fly Vaayu’s growing fleet of dedicated freighters.

The 21.1-year-old aircraft was originally delivered to ST Aerospace Resources in November 2023 for conversion before being transferred to Fly Vaayu.

The airline, which operates from its hub at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, now has a fleet of two A320P2F aircraft.

Fly Vaayu’s first A320P2F, A6-RMA (MSN 2288), was also converted at ST Engineering Guangzhou before being delivered in October 2024. The aircraft, now 20.5 years old, was ferried to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport to begin commercial operations.

The latest addition to Fly Vaayu’s fleet was converted under the A320P2F program managed by Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), a joint venture between Airbus and ST Engineering.

EFW has also completed A320P2F conversions for other operators, including Cairo-based Sky Vision Airlines and India’s Pradhaan Air Express, the world’s first airline to operate an A320 converted freighter.

With the latest delivery, Fly Vaayu continues to expand its cargo capabilities, leveraging the efficiency and versatility of the A320P2F to meet growing regional and international demand for express freight and e-commerce shipments.
