Emirates First to Deploy Satco’s Next-Gen Fire-Resistant AKE Containers
Satco Inc., a global leader in unit load device (ULD) manufacturing, has reached a major safety milestone with the launch of the world’s first TSO-C90e certified fire-resistant AKE containers—and Emirates has become the first airline to bring them into operation.
The advanced containers, manufactured at Satco’s new facility in Dubai, represent the highest safety standard available for ULDs today. The TSO-C90e certification, issued by the FAA, confirms enhanced fire resistance and construction integrity, setting a new benchmark for air cargo safety.
For Emirates, the move reflects its ongoing commitment to adopting cutting-edge technologies that reinforce its operational excellence and unwavering focus on safety.
“We are honoured to become a trusted supplier to Emirates, one of the most respected airlines in the world,” said Mike Proctor, CEO of Satco Inc.
“This milestone highlights our dedication to delivering innovative and reliable solutions to our partners.”
By being the launch customer for this next-generation equipment, Emirates not only enhances its cargo safety infrastructure but also signals industry leadership in adopting fire-resistant ULD solutions designed for modern operational demands.
Satco’s collaboration with Emirates on this rollout strengthens the manufacturer’s growing footprint in the Middle East, particularly as demand rises for smarter, safer, and more compliant ULD systems.
