My Freighter Airlines and American Airlines have entered into a new interline partnership, enabling both carriers to expand their cargo networks across North America, Europe, and Central Asia.
The agreement, which has been in effect since August 1, was announced on My Freighter Airlines’ LinkedIn account and is being hailed as a significant milestone in global cargo operations.
According to the announcement, this partnership grants My Freighter Airlines access to 11 major destinations, including New York (JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), Dallas (DFW), Charlotte (CLT), Houston (IAH), Amsterdam (AMS), London (LHR), Paris (CDG), Madrid (MAD), and Munich (MUC).
In exchange, American Airlines will gain access to My Freighter Airlines’ hub in Tashkent (TAS) and the broader Central Asian region through the airline’s RFS trucking network.
The collaboration is seen as a step towards establishing a new “Silk Road” by linking Eastern and Western markets through Central Asia.
My Freighter Airlines stated: “By partnering with American Airlines, we can now seamlessly transport cargo from North America to Central Asia with a simple click of a button,”
The partnership will allow American Airlines Cargo to benefit from My Freighter Airlines’ fleet of Boeing 767-300BCF aircraft, which can carry up to 52 tonnes of cargo.
With this fleet and the combined capacity of American Airlines’ widebody Airbus aircraft operating between Europe and the U.S., the agreement offers significant opportunities for both carriers to enter new markets.
The partnership is particularly strategic for My Freighter Airlines, which is eager to tap into the American market, especially given the large Central Asian community in the United States.
