My Freighter and Air Europa have announced an interline agreement, enabling My Freighter to add flights to the Americas and Air Europa to expand into Asia.
This agreement grants Tashkent-based My Freighter access to eight new destinations: Panama City, Cancun, Dominican Republic, Punta Cana, Colombia, Miami, New York, and São Paulo.
In return, Air Europa will utilize Tashkent as a hub for My Freighter flights and gain access to Central Asia via the airline’s Road Feeder Service (RFS) trucking network.
My Freighter stated that the partnership will facilitate cargo transport to North and South America as part of its strategy to connect “east and west through Central Asia.”
My Freighter chairman Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov remarked: “The partnership with Air Europa has opened doors for us to North and South America – with such a partner, we will cross previously closed oceans and open new horizons.
“We are motivated to create a leading player in the air cargo market, and through mutually beneficial partnerships, we will achieve this goal even faster. New countries, a hub in Tashkent, and ambitious goals to capture the market.”
Air Europa will access Asia and Central Asia through this partnership.
Air Europa Cargo general manager Jordi Pique added: “We are very happy with the agreement reached, as it reinforces Air Europa Cargo’s growth objectives and expands our network of destinations.
“For our customers, it means expanding our offer, covering from Asia to the Americas with a reliable partner, highlighting our strategic position at the Madrid-Barajas hub.”
Air Europa’s fleet includes Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 aircraft, serving more than 40 destinations across Europe, North Africa, North America, South America, and the Caribbean.
This partnership marks the third major development for My Freighter this year, following permission to start flights to China and the delivery of its third newly converted 767-300 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) aircraft from US lessor Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) in March.
My Freighter also took delivery of its 747-200F in October 2022, initially planning to add five more, though reduced demand in 2023 led many airlines to adjust their fleet plans.
