Messe München and HLPFI Forge Global Partnership to Spotlight Project Cargo

Share

Messe München, organiser of the globally recognised transport logistic trade fair series, has entered into a strategic partnership with Heavy Lift & Project Forwarding International (HLPFI) to enhance the visibility and industry engagement of the heavy lift, breakbulk and project cargo sectors.

Central to the collaboration is the introduction of “project cargo” – a specialised exhibition zone dedicated to this vital logistics segment. This new feature will debut at several international editions of the transport logistic exhibitions, starting with events in Singapore (October 29–31, 2025), Miami (November 11–13, 2025), Mumbai (February 25–27, 2026), Shanghai (June 24–26, 2026), Istanbul (November 2026), and Nairobi (February 2027).

The initiative aims to foster greater cross-sector collaboration, recognising the increasing need for project logistics professionals to interact with peers across the air, road, rail and maritime transport industries. By integrating project cargo into the existing transport logistic framework, the exhibitions will serve as a comprehensive platform for showcasing solutions, forging business connections, and facilitating high-level discussions.

Under the agreement, HLPFI will support international sales and lead the development of a dedicated conference programme tailored to the project logistics community. Messe München will leverage its global infrastructure to ensure a high-quality visitor experience and strong international presence for the new exhibition zone.

“This partnership represents a powerful opportunity to put project cargo centre stage within the logistics industry’s most important markets,” said Andy Salter, Managing Director of DVV Media International, publisher of HLPFI. “We’re excited to help shape a space that speaks directly to the needs of our community, backed by the credibility and scope of transport logistic.”

Dr. Robert Schönberger, Global Industry Lead for transport logistic exhibitions at Messe München, added: “With project cargo, we’re extending our portfolio to address a vital segment of the logistics chain. Together with HLPFI, we are creating a new meeting point that sets a global benchmark for excellence in heavy and project transport.”

The first project cargo zones are scheduled to launch in 2025 and 2026, offering project logistics professionals a new global platform for exposure, innovation, and networking across the transport logistic network.
