Kale Logistics Solutions to Develop Africa’s First Airport Cargo Community System

Kale Logistics Solutions has announced plans to develop Africa’s first Airport Cargo Community System (ACS), marking a major milestone in air cargo digitalization. The initiative was celebrated alongside Mozambique Airport Handling Service (MAHS), a leading provider of airport handling services for aircraft, passengers, cargo, and mail across Mozambique.

“As air traffic in Mozambique continues to grow year-on-year, the country is experiencing a surge in demand for cargo capacity. This positions Mozambique for exponential growth in the coming years,” stated Kale in an official release.

“Kale has been a global leader in air cargo digitization, and we are proud to be the first adopters of its ACS in Africa,” said Tubias Fondo, IT and Communications Head at MAHS. “We strongly believe this technology-driven solution will foster strong business synergies for us in the long run.”

In the first phase, the ACS will integrate finance and customs systems, along with the deployment of GALAXY 3.0, Kale’s flagship airport cargo digital management system. The project aims to tackle key operational challenges faced by MAHS, including revenue leakage, lack of visibility and transparency, reducing paper-based processes, and improving data exchange between stakeholders.

“We at Kale are excited to deploy Africa’s first ACS,” said Vineet Malhotra, Co-Founder and Director of Kale Logistics Solutions. “Bringing our expertise to this collaboration ensures the highest standards of service and innovation. Developing ACS for a major player like MAHS in Mozambique is a significant milestone for Kale, and we look forward to a long-lasting partnership.”

Initially, the ACS will be implemented at eight airports where MAHS operates, with plans to expand to 12 additional airports in the next phase.
