Aviation software firm IBS Software has announced the appointment of Somit Goyal as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Anand Krishnan. Goyal brings a wealth of experience from his leadership roles at prominent technology companies, including Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, and AOL.
During his 11-year tenure at Microsoft, Goyal held several leadership positions across strategy, operations, sales, and customer success. Most recently, he served as president and chief operating officer of Pluralsight, a software firm, where he oversaw product, engineering, and go-to-market (GTM) functions.
“Somit’s impressive experience in operating global SaaS businesses, leading diverse teams, and managing all facets of enterprise software make him exceptionally well-suited to lead IBS Software during this exciting phase of growth,” said VK Mathews, executive chairman of IBS Software. “IBS Software is at a pivotal point in its trajectory as we continue to innovate to better serve our customers. I am confident Somit will help unlock our full potential.”
Goyal will report directly to VK Mathews as he steps into his new role.
