Dr Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Jettainer. Alongside his predecessor, Thomas Sonntag, who will leave the Lufthansa Group on July 1 at his own request, Dr. Breithaupt shared insights at air cargo China about the past and future developments of Jettainer, a global leader in Unit Load Device (ULD) management services celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
An experienced air cargo executive, Dr. Breithaupt previously oversaw global fulfillment management at Lufthansa Cargo, giving him a deep understanding of Jettainer’s ULD management services from a customer perspective. He has a strong track record in leading digitalization initiatives within the Lufthansa Group, including the implementation of Mobile Boarding Pass, 100% electronic Airway Bill, and ONE Record.
Dr. Breithaupt expressed his gratitude to Thomas Sonntag for his leadership as CEO since 2019 and stated, “With a great team and a worldwide network, Jettainer is very well positioned in the global market. We will now continue to drive forward digital transformation and further improve the efficiency of our services for our global customers.”
