dnata Sets New Cargo Handling Record in Dubai with Over 1 Million Tonnes Processed
Ground handling and logistics leader dnata has marked a major operational milestone, processing over 1 million tonnes of cargo in Dubai between April 2024 and March 2025 — the highest volume in its history over a single 12-month period.
The achievement represents a 30% year-on-year increase, driven by robust demand across both Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC) airports, where dnata supports a network of more than 120 airline partners.
“This is a proud moment for us,” said Guillaume Crozier, Chief Cargo Officer at dnata.
“Dubai is where dnata was born, and it remains our largest and most dynamic cargo station. This milestone reflects not only the strength of our operations, but the critical role we play in ensuring seamless cargo movement through one of the world’s most important trade gateways.”
Crozier credited the success to the dedication of dnata’s teams and strong collaboration with key authorities, including Dubai Airports, Dubai Customs, and Dubai Police.
“It’s this spirit of cooperation that allows us to continuously raise the bar in air cargo handling — not just in Dubai, but globally.”
Future-Focused Investments in Global Cargo Infrastructure
dnata is also using the occasion to spotlight its latest investments in air cargo facilities, with major projects underway in Dubai, Erbil (Iraq), and Amsterdam — each designed to support growing demand with smart, scalable, and sustainable infrastructure.
“These new facilities are purpose-built to reduce manual handling, improve real-time visibility, and enable intelligent automation,” said Clive Sauvé-Hopkins, CEO of Airport Operations at dnata.
“We’ve prioritized modular design, so each site can evolve with the latest tech advancements and operational needs.”
Energy efficiency and environmental sustainability are also key pillars of dnata’s infrastructure strategy. Integrated eco-friendly features are expected to cut emissions and reduce long-term energy consumption, aligning with dnata’s broader commitment to responsible logistics growth.
Raising the Bar for Cargo in a Changing World
As cargo volumes continue to climb and logistics demands become more complex, dnata’s record-breaking year in Dubai sets a strong precedent for operational excellence and innovation.
With strategic investments aimed at automation and agility, the company positions itself to better support global trade, enhance cargo visibility, and meet the evolving needs of airline partners and freight stakeholders alike.
