Chapman Freeborn will bring together its cargo and specialist logistics divisions at Air Cargo Shanghai 2026 as the group looks to strengthen its presence across the Asian air freight market.
The company said Magma Aviation and Chapman Freeborn OBC would join Chapman Freeborn at Booth W5.220 during the three-day exhibition at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 24 to 26 June.
The event, held as part of Transport Logistic Shanghai, is regarded as one of Asia’s leading air cargo exhibitions and attracts airlines, freight operators, logistics providers and supply chain specialists from around the world.
Focus on growing Asian cargo demand
Chapman Freeborn Group said the exhibition would provide an opportunity to meet customers and partners across Asia, which remains one of the world’s most important regions for international trade and air cargo activity.
The company said demand continued to rise for flexible cargo capacity, specialist charter operations and time-critical logistics services.
Visitors to the stand will be able to discuss cargo charter services, dedicated freighter capacity, project cargo solutions and urgent shipment requirements with representatives from across the group.
Chapman Freeborn, which has operated in the aviation sector for more than 50 years, provides services including cargo charter, passenger charter, aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance leasing, humanitarian relief flights and heavy-lift cargo operations through a network of more than 30 global offices.
Magma Aviation specialises in dedicated wide-body freighter operations, while Chapman Freeborn OBC focuses on on-board courier services for urgent and high-value shipments.
Industry leaders to discuss the future of air freight
Eric Erbacher, chairman of the board at Chapman Freeborn, said bringing the group’s businesses together at the exhibition would help customers assess a broader range of logistics solutions.
He said: “Every shipment is different, and customers need partners who can look at the full picture before recommending a solution.”
During the exhibition, Erbacher is also expected to participate in a panel discussion titled “Freighters and Future of Global Trade”, where he will discuss trends shaping the international cargo market.
Peter Kerins, chief executive of Magma Aviation, said the joint presence in Shanghai would demonstrate how freighter operations, charter services and time-critical logistics could work together to support customers.
The group said its services support a wide range of specialist cargo operations, including oversized freight, live animal transportation, project logistics and urgent air cargo movements.
Chapman Freeborn Group added that customers and partners were being encouraged to arrange meetings in advance due to expected demand during the event.
