CEVA Logistics Launches CEVA FORPLANET: A New Era of Sustainable Supply Chains

CEVA Logistics is advancing its commitment to achieving net zero emissions and supporting global customers with sustainable logistics solutions.

The company has introduced CEVA FORPLANET, a sub-brand unifying and enhancing its green logistics offerings. CEVA FORPLANET solutions aim to minimize the environmental impact of supply chains through low-carbon transport and circular economy initiatives. These include alternative fuels, modal shifts, and precise CO2e tracking for accurate reporting.

As part of the CMA CGM Group, CEVA is committed to net zero by 2050. In the near term, it focuses on emissions reduction via eco-efficient warehouses, fleet operations, and partnerships offering low-carbon solutions.

CEVA FORPLANET addresses the company’s Scope 3 emissions, which constitute 95% of its emissions. CEVA’s efforts earned a gold medal from EcoVadis, ranking it in the top 1% of logistics companies globally.

Key initiatives include:

  • Avoiding over 26,000 tons of emissions in 2024 using sustainable maritime and aviation fuels.
  • Operating over 1,000 electric and low-carbon vehicles.
  • Promoting rail and barge transport, with one block train replacing 25 trucks and reducing emissions by up to 90%.

CEVA also offers consulting services through a five-step supply chain transformation program, tools like eco-calculators, and innovative circular economy programs. Highlights include reusable packaging solutions that saved over 10,000 kilograms of plastic in early 2024 and pilot programs in automotive and EV battery recycling.

Mathieu Friedberg, CEO of CEVA Logistics, emphasized:

“With the world changing, action is required. ‘Acting for Planet’ isn’t just a phrase—it’s a guiding principle driving decarbonization and sustainable supply chains.”

CEVA FORPLANET reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to creating a greener future for global logistics.
