Carsten Trolle steps down from DSV after 40 years

Carsten Trolle, DSV executive advisor, has announced his departure from the company after 40 years.

“After forty years with DSV, I will now leave the company. Guiding the Air & Sea division through some hard times and less tough years has been one of the greatest honours of my life.

It is with respect and deep appreciation that I look back on the journey of navigating mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and operational excellence over the years.

This alongside so many bright, hard-working, and intelligent colleagues who continue to have what it takes to survive in the forwarding world.

Your contributions have been more than valued as I led the Air & Sea Division through the intricacies of bringing SBS, ABX, UTI, Panalpina, and Agility into the DSV family.

Over the decades, global supply chain crises and political shifts have kept me on my best game.

Protecting shareholder value, company culture, and maintaining governmental compliance in a worldwide environment are challenges that have become second nature and continue to interest me.

I have enjoyed mentoring and nurturing many of the younger generation while respecting experienced colleagues who have been through many of the changes many have not experienced.

It has been a great pleasure to see staff taking chances based on trust and without second-guessing, and I can only encourage others to do the same.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me over the years, and a special thanks to the US team, where I have been located most of my career.

With little patience, some wisdom, little luck, diplomacy, and humour that have shaped me as a leader, will continue to guide my decisions in the future.”
